We hosted our first Charity Golf Day on the 24th May at Oswestry Golf Club and it was a huge success!!

11 teams signed up to take part, and former PGA champion, Scott Drummond even came along for the day, challenging the teams in a ‘Beat the Pro’ competition!

With the help of everyone’s generosity throughout the day and evening, bidding in an auction and buying raffle tickets, we managed to raise a fantastic £2100 for Hope House and £2100 for Duchenne UK, our chosen charities for this year’s event.

Patrick Evans, our MD, says ‘Hope House was one of EvaStore’s first ever customers back in 2004. And for 15 years now, we have been entrusted to store and shred some of their understandably sensitive documents and their business is very much valued to us, but it’s what they do that is invaluable to so many more people, which is why we wanted to show our support to the charity by raising as much money as possible for them’.

Duchenne UK, has a mission to eradicate Duchenne in 10 years. As a charity they fund research and trials to accelerate drug development and offer community engagement and support. We hope that our modest contribution will help Duchenne UK achieve their goal.

We are now planning next year’s Golf Day which we hope will be even bigger and better!
